Prospective PhD. Students

brief description of your interests.

More information about Montclair State University’s clinical psychology doctoral program is
available here. The application submission deadline for students applying for the 2023-2024
academic year is December 1, 2022.

Dr. Reyes-Portillo will not be accepting a new doctoral student for Fall 2024.

Prospective Master’s Students
Students in Montclair State University’s Master’s in Clinical Psychology program may apply for a
Research Assistant Position in the Youth Mental Health Services Lab following acceptance to
the Master’s program.

 

Prospective Master students who may be interested in joining the Youth Mental Health
Services Lab should first verify that their specific research focus aligns with our ongoing
projects, lab mission, and recently published work. If you are interested in joining our lab as a research assistant, please send your CV/resume and cover letter to reyesportilj@montclair.edu (subject: "MA application"). 

Prospective Research Assistants
Although we do not always have open positions, Dr. Reyes-Portillo accepts applications from
undergraduate students and recent college graduates to join our lab on an ongoing basis.
Applicants being considered for a Research Assistant position will be contacted for an interview.
Prospective research assistants should have interests and long-term career goals that align well
with our lab & ongoing projects. Previous experience working in a psychology research lab is
preferred but not required.

Undergraduate and volunteer research assistants must commit at least 9 hours per week for at
least two terms (fall, spring, summer).
